Finding healing and hope at a critical time in human history

We have done terrible harm to the natural world, and mismanaged our power as a global species. Now, so many things are falling apart at once. The unravelling of the world we’ve known is difficult (maybe impossible) to face without support.

People need a place to find psychological support and learn skills to navigate this new world.

This is the concept for the Beacon Project.

“When our grief cannot be spoken, it falls into the shadow and re-arises in us as symptoms. So many of us are depressed, anxious, and lonely. We struggle with addictions and find ourselves moving at a breathless pace, trying to keep up with the machinery of culture.”
Francis Weller

"I used to think that the top environmental problems were biodiversity loss, ecosystem collapse and climate change. I thought with 30 years of good science we could address those problems. But I was wrong. The top environmental problems are selfishness, greed and apathy... And to deal with these we need a spiritual and cultural transformation."

Gustave Speth
