Introducing the project
A place of hope
The point of the Beacon Project is to offer hope, inspiration and support for people during the Metacrisis.
We’ll train people in essential skills to navigate a changing world.
We’ll provide healing and sanctuary for people overwhelmed by what’s happening.
Our on-site team will demonstrate healthy community, as well as growing food and living sustainably.
To achieve this, we will create a dedicated site with all the facilities we need. It will be a beautiful and supportive place, but also a highly functional and practical environment.
On-site training and support
Thousands of people will visit our site each year and engage in our programmes. Some will come for practical resilience skills, others on a retreat or seeking mental health support. We will also work with other, aligned providers who want to use our site to deliver their training courses.
A culture of radical education and healing
Bringing together expert teachers and healers, and with a clear set of core values, we will run courses that are relevant to these challenging and shifting times. Our on-site healing team of coaches and therapists will run retreats and one-to-one sessions for visitors.
Inspiration for the UK
The UK has its own unique challenges, so we will act as an inspiring example of functional sustainability and community for this country. Some people will be able to visit our site and engage in our programmes, but many more will be touched by our stories and supported by our work online.
We will have all the infrastructure and facilities we need to accommodate our participants.
